How the walkout is worked out
Gross is every ticket type's price times tickets sold. Box office deductions come off the gross to give the net box office (NBOR). The deal is applied to that, the withholding comes off the artist's fee, and the deposit already paid comes off last. What's left is the walkout.
The four deals
- Flat guarantee: the fee, whatever sells.
- Guarantee vs %: whichever is bigger, the guarantee or the artist's percentage of the NBOR (or of the net after show expenses, if the contract says so).
- Guarantee plus %: the guarantee, plus the artist's percentage of everything over the split point.
- Door deal: the artist's percentage of the NBOR after show expenses.

This worksheet runs the settlement engine ATOM Money uses for real tours, so a deal settles to the same number here as inside ATOM.
