Merch Insights: what to pack and what sells

Pack the trailer, see what runs out where, what sold out, what is trending and what kind of night sells

Merch Insights is the booth's trend screen: Merch > Insights. Anyone with Merch booth access opens it; dollar figures show only for people who see merch money, everyone else sees units.

Pack the trailer. Pick the run (next show, next 5, 10 or 20 shows, or the rest of the tour). Each item's need is what it sells a show times the shows, plus a 15% cushion, rounded up. Each row gets a call: Covered, Short (on hand plus in transit will not cover the run: reorder or ship ahead), Slow seller (under 1 a show: leave it home), or Leave N home (more than twice what the run needs). An item needs 3 counted nights before it is planned. Tap a row to open the product.

Runs out at. The upcoming show where each item runs dry at its current pace. Stock in transit is not counted until it arrives.

Sold out before demand did. Nights an item closed at zero. The lost sales are what that item normally sells (the middle of its other nights) minus what it sold that night; it needs 3 normal nights to estimate.

Heating up and fading. Units a night over an item's last 4 nights against the 4 before; shown only at 20% or more and at least 3 a night before.

What kind of night sells. By room size, by day of the week and by tour leg: median $ per head over door-count nights (never capacity), or units a night for people without merch money.

At the register. From the Register's sale log once it has 20 sales: number of sales, items per sale, average sale, card share, sales through the night from the first sale in 15-minute steps, and each seller. Comps are left out.

Nights from settlement paperwork. A night entered from a settlement sheet has night totals, not item counts. Pack the trailer, sold out and heating up need at least 3 nights counted item by item (the Count screen or the Register); until then a card says how many nights were counted that way. Room size, weekday, tour leg and region reports use every night.

Everything follows the tour leg picked at the top. Nothing here changes any data.
