Connect ATOM to Claude / ChatGPT (the ATOM connector) lets you ask about your tour from the AI assistant you already use, without opening ATOM.
WHEN YO ATOM IS NEAR ITS ALLOWANCE: YO ATOM says so once in the conversation and offers this connector with a button to /connect, so you can keep asking on your own Claude or ChatGPT plan. Past the allowance it says it again under its answer. If you already connected one, it tells you to use it instead. Answers straight from ATOM's files (schedules, terms, how-to steps, ATOM 101) never use the allowance.
HOW TO CONNECT: open /connect (Settings, Connected assistants, Connect Claude or ChatGPT). Copy the connector address: https://atominterstate.app/mcp.
• Claude (claude.ai or the desktop app): Settings, Connectors, Add custom connector. Name it ATOM, paste the address, click Connect.
• ChatGPT: Settings, Apps, Advanced settings, turn on Developer mode. Click Create app, name it ATOM, paste the address, choose OAuth, click Connect. Custom apps depend on your ChatGPT plan.
Either way ATOM opens its own approval screen: sign in with your ATOM login, read what the assistant will be able to see, tap Allow. No keys or passwords are pasted anywhere.
WHAT IT CAN SEE: exactly what YO ATOM sees for you, through the same permission checks: your shows and dates, day sheets (schedule, hotel, notes, set list), the contacts your role can see, the advance, gear, and money only if your role can see money. Crew never see money. If you are invited onto someone else's tour, it sees that tour the way your role on it allows. It starts on the tour you had open when you connected and can open your other tours when you name them ("Sam's merch tonight"): every question goes to the tour you named, and every answer starts with the name of the tour it came from, so you can see it answered about the right one. It can also search every show on a tour, past ones included, for "have we played this venue before?".
CHANGES, ALWAYS WITH YOUR YES: if your role can edit the day on a tour (tour manager, production manager, admins), the assistant can add a day note, add, change or remove schedule rows, or add a hotel stay. It always shows you exactly what will change first ("ADD 2:00 PM Load-in", "REMOVE ...") and nothing is saved until you say yes; it then uses a one-time code that expires in 10 minutes. Changes save the same way the day page saves, so other days are never touched, and each one is logged in the tour's activity log as made through the assistant. FLIGHTS, RIDES AND CONTACTS: the same people can also have it add a flight (it lands on the Travel tab with the airline, number, airports, local times, who is flying and the confirmation number), a ground run such as a Carey or Blacklane pickup (Travel tab; when your itinerary gives no time, none is made up), or people to a day's Local Contacts on the Venue tab (someone already there is skipped). Each thing goes in its one place: flights are never written as schedule rows, and contacts never into the day note. Same preview first, same yes, same activity log. Crew, band and drivers can't change anything through it. Money stays read only: no expenses, settlements or payouts from an assistant.
TURNING IT OFF: two ways. Settings, Connected assistants, Disconnect removes one assistant: it is cut off on its very next question. Settings, ATOM Intelligence off stops ATOM sharing with every assistant at once (and turns off YO ATOM). Signing out everywhere also disconnects them.
PRIVACY: what you ask, and what ATOM answers, goes to the assistant company you chose (Anthropic for Claude, OpenAI for ChatGPT) under that company's own terms and settings. ATOM only sends what your role can see, only when you ask. Connecting and disconnecting are recorded in your tour's activity log.
NOT AVAILABLE: the Test Drive demo can't be connected, and a super admin viewing as someone else can't connect an assistant to that account.
