Contacts: list or cards: the contact book has two ways to look at it. The List and Cards buttons sit next to the search.
LIST: one line per person: photo, name, their role or company, and two small tags, On tour (working this tour) and Login (they have ATOM access). People are grouped under A to Z letter headings, and the letter you're in stays at the top while you scroll. Tap a line to open their card.
ON A PHONE: List is what you see first. The search box runs full width at the top, and a strip of letters down the right edge jumps straight to that letter: tap one, or slide your finger down the strip. Import from a file or photo opens the same import as the drop box on a computer.
ON A COMPUTER: List is a table you can scan: the person first, then phone and email (the details people come for, shown in full), then role and company, department, up to two labels (+N for more), Tour status and Access. Click a phone number or email to copy it (a green check says it's copied); the small phone or envelope icon beside it calls or writes. You can also drag across any name or number to select it; that doesn't open the card. Access says Login, Invited, or No access in red, and red only means someone working this tour has no login; a vendor or family member without one just shows a dash. Click any column heading to sort by it. Columns chooses which columns show, and ATOM remembers it for your login. Amber text under a name flags missing info for people working this tour (vendors and venue contacts with only an email aren't flagged): no phone, no email, no role, or a passport expired or expiring within six months. The Department column shows each person's department as a colored chip. ONE FILTER BAR: on a computer, search, Department, Labels, the On tour / No access / Missing info counts, Columns and List / Cards sit on one line. Department and Labels each open a short menu with a count beside every choice; the pick shows on the button (Department: Audio) with an x to clear it, and Clear filters resets everything. The counts are filters too: click one, click it again to clear. Phones keep the swipeable rows. Tick the boxes to select people for a manifest, labels or a merge. Tablets get the one-line list.
ALL ARTISTS: the account owner gets a This tour / All artists switch beside the search. All artists adds a section under the list, On your other tours: everyone on your other artists' tours who isn't on this one, with their role, phone and email (click to copy), department and the tours they're on. Add to this tour copies them onto this tour's contacts (not onto the working roster), with the details you share between tours (Shared across tours). Phone, company and photo show only when Shared across tours lets them travel; passport, birth date, address and pay never show. Search and the Department filter cover that section too. Co-managers on one tour don't get it: it reaches every tour you own. Only people with an email can be matched across tours. Same person, two emails: when someone on your other tours looks like someone already on this tour (same name, or same phone) but under a different email, their row says so and offers Same person. That links the two cards: each one keeps the other email (shown on the card), the person stops showing as someone new, and edits to shared details (Shared across tours) reach the card under either email. Undo on the message unlinks them. No, add as a new person adds them as a separate card instead. People ATOM already knows: when someone has a login on this tour but no card here, and they have a card on one of your other tours, ATOM brings that card over by itself (the shared details) and says so; nobody has to click "No card yet". A login with no card anywhere still shows as "No card yet", with its role in words (Owner, Tour Manager), not a code.
DEPARTMENTS: every person has one department, picked from one list so everyone is filed the same way: Artist, Band, Tour Management, Production, Audio, Lighting, Video, Stage, Rigging, Backline, Pyro & SFX, Wardrobe & Glam, Merch, Catering & Hospitality, Security, Transportation, Travel, Artist Management, Agency, Label & Publishing, Publicity & Marketing, Accounting, Legal, Promoter & Venue, Content & Media and Vendor. Other (type it) keeps your own words. Pick it on the person's card, Tour Logistics, Department. With none picked, ATOM shows the one their job title points to (MON is Audio, LD is Lighting) as a dashed chip, and the card offers it with one tap. The Department filter (a menu on a computer, a swipe row on a phone) filters by it, with a count for each, plus No department. Select people and use Set department to file a whole group at once. Auto-tag fills in empty departments too. Picking Artist, Band, Artist Management, Tour Management or Transportation also sets the person's role group (used by per diem and Money), so the Labels box steps aside for those. A label that only repeats the department (Band next to Band) isn't shown twice. The Labels filter is for your own tags (Crew, VIP and the like); department names live in the Department filter.
IMPORT: on a computer, Import is a button next to + New Contact, and you can drop a file anywhere on the Contacts page (a big drop sign shows while you hold it over). It takes a crew sheet, spreadsheet, PDF, vCard or a business card photo; ATOM reads every field, you review, then save. On a phone it's the Import from a file or photo line.
CARDS: short cards in one continuous grid: name, role and company, phone and email (click to copy, like the list), a stripe in their department's color and a green dot when they're working this tour. Rest the pointer on a card and it grows in place to show the department, labels, On tour and ATOM access; it floats over the row below, so nothing else moves. An A to Z bar on top jumps to a letter, and the first card of each letter wears its letter. On a phone or tablet the cards show those chips all the time. Cards is what bigger screens open on.
REMEMBERED: whichever you pick stays picked on that phone or computer.
SELECT: works in both. Tick people for a manifest, labels, or a merge.
TOUR ROSTER TOO: the Tour Roster has the same List, next to Manage and Cards. People stay under their department headings (Staff, Band, Crew and so on), phones open on List, and admins keep the hide-from-crew buttons on each line. Who's On on the day sheet uses the same line.
