Things to check (Data Health)

The Things to check panel on Money Home: every check it runs and what to do with each

Things to check (Money Home, the Things to check tile, then Review) lists money records that look wrong. Each section says what it found; nothing changes until you tap a fix.

GUARANTEE MISMATCHES: the show's guarantee and its settlement's guarantee differ. Pick which one is right.

LIKELY CURRENCY TAG MIX-UPS: a number that looks like it was saved in the wrong currency.

DUPLICATE SHOWS: two shows on the same date at the same venue.

SHOWS MISSING A GUARANTEE and SHOWS WITH NO PERFORMANCE AGREEMENT: confirmed shows with no money or no contract on file. A favor, charity or comped show: tap Mark off the books. It saves as settled at $0.00, exactly like Mark off the books on Settlements, so it clears here, on the calendar and on Settlements at once. A show already marked off the books on Settlements never shows here. Only someone who can edit settlements sees Mark off the books; anyone else sees Dismiss, which only hides the row for them.

SETTLEMENTS BOUND TO A MISSING SHOW: a settlement pointing at a show that is no longer on the calendar. When it says Older copy, the show already has its own settlement (a calendar re-import gave the show a new ID). Money does not count older copies, but they can hold numbers the current one lacks, so compare before removing.

SETTLEMENTS THAT DON'T MATCH THEIR SHOW: a settlement dated far from its show (usually a typo in the year, like 2009 instead of 2026), or a show with two or more settlements on it. Only one settlement per show counts, so fix these so the right one does. A date typo has a one-tap Use the show's date fix; a show with two settlements needs you to open it and remove the wrong one.

DEAL TYPE LOOKS WRONG: a split point on a greater-of deal.

POSSIBLE DUPLICATE EXPENSES: two expenses with the same date, vendor and amount. Refunds never match the charge they came back on, and the parts of a split payment never match each other. For flights it also checks the passenger: one booking code covers the whole party, so two people on the same flight at the same fare are not duplicates, while the same person spelled two ways ("Emma Mccoury" and "MCCOURY/EMMA") is. Saving a flight that is already on the books under the same booking code, passenger, flight and fare returns the existing one instead of adding a copy. It also catches the same ticket from two sources: a card line or receipt email with no passenger (dated the day you bought it) that matches exactly one flight on the books at the same fare and airline (dated the day you fly). When Gmail receipt import finds one of those, it attaches the receipt to that flight instead of adding a second expense. It also catches the same receipt file saved twice (same file name, date and amount, even when ATOM described it differently each time). For Gmail attachments it only counts when the file name carries a folio or transaction number, since hotels often give every room's PDF the same name.

FIX IT RIGHT HERE: a settlement whose show was re-created under a new ID gets a Link to button naming the show it belongs to (same day, same venue), so saving it over and over is never the fix. A settlement filed on another show's day gets Move to that show, or Remove this copy when that show already has its own settlement (a leftover copy). Remove has Undo.

POSSIBLE DUPLICATE EXPENSES: one list for the whole tour, the same pairs and the same count as Duplicate review in Expenses and the Possible duplicates number on the card view (it does not narrow with the leg picker). Answer each pair right there, no trip to Expenses. Not a duplicate (two real charges, like two band members' rooms) clears it in one tap and it never comes back, here, in Cards or in Duplicate review. Keep one (one charge saved twice) keeps the card statement's line when there is one and moves the copy's receipt, people, show and notes onto it. Compare opens the two side by side with their receipts; Open opens the expense. Tick the box on several lines (or Pick all) and use Not duplicates or Keep one of each to answer them all at once. Both answers have Undo in the message that pops up.
