Money Home

What Money Home shows, how projected net is worked out, and where everything else moved

Money Home is one screen that answers three things: how the tour is doing, what needs a look, and what to do next.

WHERE MONEY OPENS: tapping Money (from Home, the header or the menu) always opens Money Home. Looking at a day in Tour first doesn't change that. A link that points at one show, like a Needs attention pill, still opens that show's day.

FINANCIAL SNAPSHOT: Projected net (every dollar of income booked, guarantees plus settlement overages plus other income, minus everything spent including show costs and counted crew pay), Collected, Outstanding and Spent, each as a share of income. Outstanding is only money still owed: unsettled and upcoming shows, plus other income not yet received. Tax the venue withheld is not counted as owed, and a show closed as paid counts as collected even if the amount was never typed in. Show counts (played, remaining, settled) count show and festival days only, never travel, off or TV days.

DAYS ON THE ROAD: the paid road days band and crew are paid for: shows, travel, days off while out on the road, rehearsal, promo, press, TV, radio and other work, with how many are done and what was spent per road day so far. Days off at home are not road days, and a cancelled show counts as a day off. Same count as Your Corner and the Tour header. It follows the leg picked at the top of Money, like the rest of Home (All legs counts every leg).

HOW IT'S LAID OUT: top to bottom.

1. The masthead: chips for the tour's status (On Track, Near Break-Even, Watch Closely, Pre-Tour, Tour Complete), shows to go, how many shows are settled (for example 12 of 30 settled) and the tour dates. Under them, what needs attention as one row of pills, all of them shown, each with its count and amount: played shows not settled, settled shows still owed, deposits due, missing receipts, things to check, per diem above the federal rate, pending reimbursements. Tap a pill to go fix it. When nothing is waiting it says All clear.

2. Where you stand: Projected net big, with its share of income and a line of the net month by month; tap it for Reports. Beside it the Next show (or the last one when the tour is done): venue, date, city and guarantee, with the venue's photo when ATOM has one (credited), else the date drawn big; tap it to open that day. Under them, Income (how much is collected), Spent and Outstanding.

3. Quick actions: Add expense, Settle a show, Per diem run, Quick buyout, the rest under More. Then Income vs. Spend by month, Receipt Coverage, Days on the road and Show performance (played, average net per show, guarantees settled).

WHERE THE REST WENT: the full calendar is on Calendar; per-show P&L, where the money goes, tour income and commissions are on Reports; receipt coverage, status check, month outflow, flight-expense sync and expense billbacks are on Expenses; the receivables table, deposit tracker, upcoming deposits, other income and the billback tracker are on Settlements; the crew pay calculator is on Crew Pay; split by percent (split an expense) is a card on Tools; W-9 / wire info is on Settings; crew reimbursement claims are on Reimbursements.

MERCH IN THE TOTALS: merch is the tour's second income. It counts only when the tour's TM or admin turns on Count merch as income (Money > Settings > Money setup; off until then, everyone on the tour sees the same). Then Money Home's Income and Projected net, and the Merch line's actual on Budget & Logistics, count show pay plus merch: each night's merch artist cut, from the show settlement when merch is entered there (whatever its Include merch box says; that box is for settlement reports), otherwise from the Merch booth's settlement for that date, never both. Use All income / Shows / Merch above the cards to see them together or apart; the split shows beside the switch. This is earnings, not cash: merch cash stays in the seller's bag until it's handed to you and logged on the Cash tab. Spent is tour spend (merch buys aren't tour expenses, and ATOM keeps no merch costs), so the Merch view shows only Merch income (with how much is collected) and Outstanding.
