Flight credits

The flight credits ledger: who has credit where, what expires, duplicates

Flight credits. Money an airline owes a traveler: an unused ticket, an eCredit, a voucher or bump compensation. Open it from Travel, Flights tab, Flight Credits (tour staff; full screen on a phone).

AT THE TOP: the total in credits (to the penny), how many credits and people, then tiles that need attention: Expiring in the next 60 days, Expired, Entered twice and No expiry date. Tap a tile to show only those credits; tap it again to show everything.

ONE CARD PER PERSON: each person's credits sit on one card with their total. Spellings of the same name ("JANE DOE", "Jane Doe", or a first name alone when only one person on the tour has it) are shown as one person; names show in normal capitals. Airlines show under one name ("Delta Air Lines" is Delta). The stored credits are not changed.

EACH LINE: the airline, the ticket or voucher number (13-digit ticket numbers are spaced in groups so they're easy to read out), what is left on it, and when it expires: "Expires Oct 24, 2026 · in 2 days" in amber inside 60 days, red once expired, "No expiry date" when none was entered. A partly used credit shows "of $X" and a bar.

NO EXPIRY DATE: ATOM can only warn you before a credit expires if it knows the date. Tap the credit and add the date from the airline's email. If the airline says the credit doesn't expire (Southwest often does), tick This credit doesn't expire instead: it shows "Doesn't expire" and stops counting as missing a date.

ENTERED TWICE: the same ticket number with the same amount listed twice (often under two spellings of a name). It is counted once in every total and marked "Same ticket listed twice, not counted again". Tap the extra one and delete it.

FIND ONE: search by name, airline, ticket number or confirmation code; pick an airline; sort by value, soonest expiry or name; or use the row of filters (All, Expiring soon, No expiry date, Expired, Entered twice, Redeemed).

USE ONE: tap a credit to edit it or log money spent from it. Fully used credits move to Redeemed. ATOM also offers a traveler's credits when you book their next flight.

PAST TOURMATES: people not on the current tour's crew list are folded under "Show N past tourmates" with their total, and open by themselves if one of their credits is about to expire.
