Cash (Money > Cash) is the road cash ledger: every cash row for the tour in date order, and the cash you should be holding right now.
EDIT OR DELETE A CASH ENTRY: on a computer, a Cash in or Cash out you typed in has Edit (date, source, amount, currency, notes; a merch hand-over keeps its merch tag) and Delete buttons on its row, and a cash expense row has Edit expense, which opens that expense. On a phone, tap the row itself: a typed-in entry opens full screen with Save changes and Delete at the bottom, and a cash expense opens that expense. + Cash In and + Cash Out also open full screen on a phone. On Delete, ATOM asks first, and Undo brings it back for 10 seconds. A cash row that comes from an expense (a cash receipt) is deleted on Expenses, and show cash comes from the settlement, so change it there.
ON HAND (the big tile) is road carry-over plus every row: cash in minus cash out. Filters never change it.
THE TILES ADD UP: Carried in, Cash In and Cash Out all cover the same period: this month, or the range you set under Dates (the label says which, e.g. "Cash In (October)"). On the full list, Carried into October + Cash In - Cash Out = On Hand. A type pill or the search box narrows Cash In and Cash Out to the matching rows and the label adds filtered; then they no longer add up to On Hand, which never changes with filters. A filter that shows only money out (Cash out, Per diem) or only money in shows just that one total: no empty tile and no Net. Every total is added up in whole cents, so the tiles match the rows to the penny.
THE LEDGER: newest first, filed by month. Each month shows In, Out and End (the cash you should have held at the end of that month). The newest month is open and older months fold: tap a month to open it. Search or a filter opens every month that matches. Tap a column header to sort by it instead; that shows one flat list. Above the ledger: search, the type pills (All, Cash in, Cash out, Per diem, Merch) and Dates (This Week / Month / Quarter, or pick From and To).
RUNNING BALANCE: each row shows the cash on hand right after it, added up in true date order, with money in counted before money out on the same day (so a merch drop and that day's tips don't fake a dip). Sorting never changes a row's balance. The balance (and each month's End) shows only on the full list: with a type pill or a search on, the hidden rows would make it jump or repeat, so it is left off. A Dates range keeps it, since every row in the range is showing.
COLORS: money in is teal, money out is plain. Red means a real problem: On Hand below zero, or a row flagged Negative balance, where the records say you paid out more cash than you had at that point. Usually a cash-in dated a day late, or a cash pickup that was never logged.
CARRIED IN: the tile shows the cash you had when the period you're looking at started: "Carried into October" is everything before October 1, counted from your starting cash (the same figure as Amount Carried Over on that month's road report). With Dates set, it shows what was carried into that range.
STARTING CASH: the Starting cash box is the cash you held when this ledger starts (for a whole-year ledger, what you had on January 1). It doesn't change month to month on purpose: each row's running balance is the carry-over for the next day, and the monthly workbook works out each month's carry-over from it. There is no merch carry-over: merch money stays in Merch, and it reaches your cash only when you log merch cash handed to you (+ Cash In, merch cash).
WHERE THE ROWS COME FROM: show cash on settlements (cash received, extra cash payments added on the settlement), Other Income received in cash, what you kept from a venue buyout (logged with Add cash I kept on the buyout, or by hand), cash expenses (Expenses paid by cash, including per diem), and rows you add with + Cash In / + Cash Out (merch cash handed to you goes in as merch cash). A cancelled show's cash never counts.
RECEIPTS: tap a cash expense that has a receipt (it shows a Receipt button) and the receipt opens right there, full screen. Fix a counted amount inline on a show cash or cash expense row; it turns yellow and keeps the original so you can revert.
WHO: anyone who can open Money can look. Changing it needs money edit rights, which only the TM or an admin grant; if you can't, ask your TM. On a management firm or business manager account the road bag lives on the artist's tour login.
ALL LEGS: with All legs picked, the Cash tab and every cash report add up the tour-wide cash record and every leg's own record, so cash logged while a leg was picked still shows. New entries on All legs go to the tour's main cash record.
MERCH CASH: a cash-in row whose source is Merch (typed by hand or the merch hand-over button) counts as merch cash everywhere: the Cash tab, the Cash Ledger and the Road Report.
