Commissions (Money > Reports) computes what the agent, manager, and business manager are owed. Never money the artist owes anyone else, just their own cut of the artist's income.
RATES: three percentages, one per recipient, saved per workspace. Each recipient also has its own "+ merch" toggle. On = commission includes merch net, off = performance fees only. Agent defaults off (the standard agency deal), manager and business manager default on.
COLLECTED vs. PROJECTED: pick which basis to bill on. Projected is booked/earned income (what a show is worth once fully settled, whether or not the money's actually landed yet). Collected is money you've actually received. Deposits and payments in, real cash in hand. Collected is the default: it's the more conservative number, and it's what's actually owed today rather than what's merely on the books. In Collected mode every recipient bills off the same combined collected figure. The "+ merch" toggle only changes anything in Projected mode, since collected cash doesn't split cleanly into performance-vs-merch the way earned income does.
PAYMENTS: log what's actually been paid to each recipient, mark paid/unpaid, export a branded commission statement (PDF/Excel). None of this touches the tour's own books. It's a separate ledger just for who gets what.
Report Design Studio uses these same rates and basis so the two surfaces always agree. See the Report Design Studio topic.
NET TO ARTIST: what the artist takes home after every bill: income, less commission, less tour costs. The card, its Excel file and Report Design Studio all show this same number. With a payment log, the logged payments are the commission.
