How ATOM counts what the tour made: one rule on every screen and report (Money Home, Day Dashboard, Per-Show P&L, Calendar, Tour Income, Report Studio, Budget, Full Tour Report, Master Budget, Yo ATOM).
- Show pay = the signed settlement's artist pay after withholding, with final adjustments (support act, reimbursements) counted. With no settlement yet, the guarantee. The settlement wins: a deposit is never counted twice, and collected can never be more than the show owed.
- Merch is the tour's second income. It counts only when the tour admin turns on Count merch as income (Money > Settings); off by default. Then each night counts once: the merch on that show's settlement, else the merch booth's night, only on dates on the tour's schedule.
- The settlement's Include merch box only decides what is on that settlement and its report. It never adds merch to tour earnings.
- Merch purchases (Merch Costs) stay out of tour costs.
- Commissions are still worked out on gross show pay (before withholding), as agency and management deals are.
- Owed on settlements (Settlements tab) is what is still owed on settlements entered, show money only. Merch the venue still owes is added only when the tour admin turns on Count merch as income: merch is an option, never a default. Money Home's Outstanding also counts shows with no settlement yet.
- A payment typed with extra zeros (exactly 10, 100 or 1,000 times what the show owed, like $2,640,000 on $26,400) is read as what the show owed, and the settlement says so under the field. Data Health flags anything else that received more than the whole deal; totals never count more than the show owed.
- Cash is separate: the Cash tab and the Road Report count only cash in the bag.
