Report Design Studio

The composable money document: blocks, present mode, scenarios, exports

Report Design Studio turns this tour's live money into a presentation-grade document: pick blocks, arrange them, present them full screen, or export a designed PDF or Excel.

OPEN IT: Money > Reports, "Open Studio". Every number is the same canonical math as Money Home, to the penny. It never writes money.

THE BLOCKS: Artist walk (the headline: tour-level net to artist big, with the per-show walkout range under it), Headline numbers, Gross to net waterfall, Where the money flows (the flow ends in a large artist node), Top nights, Expenses donut, Performance gauges, Who makes what.

TWO DIFFERENT NETS, read them right: "Net to artist, whole tour" is income minus withholding, commissions and tour costs, one number for the whole tour. "Show walkout" is what each show settled to on its own night, before those tour-level deductions. The Artist walk block shows both, labeled. Never present one as the other.

BUILD: drag blocks by the grip to reorder, click one to set width or remove it, filter with the Include chips. Your arrangement is remembered when you close and reopen. Save named layouts to reuse an arrangement on any tour.

PRESENT: full screen, one block per slide. Arrow keys, side arrows, or the dots up top. A stray click on the background does NOT end the show: leave with Exit present or Escape. If you saved Scenarios, chips at the top flip the whole deck between the live numbers and a what-if, with the change shown in plain words.

SCENARIOS: the pink button opens the what-if view: slide commission percentages, tap a cost to drop it, add a hypothetical cost or income, save the combination under a name. Nothing changes the books.

RATES: commissions use your saved rates, your Collected/Projected basis choice, AND each recipient's "+ merch" setting from the Commissions card, so the studio matches the card to the penny on merch tours (a recipient whose deal is shows-only is labeled "shows only". Only shown in Projected basis, since Collected bills everyone off the same combined cash-in-hand figure). Everything updates live the moment you change a percentage, the basis, or a toggle there. A manager firm viewing a client's tour sees the client's rates, never the firm's own.

EXPORT: PDF and Excel up top render exactly what you composed, artist walk included. Exporting needs report access; viewing and presenting only need money view.

WHICH DATES: the studio covers the leg picked at the top of Money, and the line under This tour, live says which dates and how many shows. On All legs it adds up every leg, and says so when that spans more than one year (e.g. "2025, 2026, 2027 combined"); pick one leg for one year. Only that leg's settlements count, and tour costs count in the years its shows play.
