Roster Groups

Create groups inside the tour roster (Audio, Lighting, Admin…) and assign people, including off-roster manager/publicist, to control who sees specific schedule items

Roster Groups carve the tour roster into named groups (Audio, Lighting, Backline, Administration, whatever your departments are), and, crucially, let you put people in a group who aren't on the tour roster at all.

WHERE IT LIVES:

Tour Book → Tour Roster → the Groups section at the top (collapsed by default; admins manage, everyone can see).

WHAT A GROUP IS:

A named set of people. Members can be:

HOW TO USE IT:

1. Type a group name (e.g. "Audio") and Add.
2. Expand the group and tap people to add them. The list opens with the people on this tour, then the artist's team in Contacts (management, agency, label, press, business, legal, travel, content, band). Venue staff, vendors and everyone else in Contacts come up when you type a name. Off-roster people are tagged "not on tour" so you always know who's a guest of the group.
3. Rename or delete a group anytime. Deleting a group never touches the people. They stay on your roster and in your contacts; only the grouping goes away.

WHY IT EXISTS (the real case):

An artist interview the tour manager, production manager, manager, and publicist all need to see, but the manager and publicist aren't tour crew. Put those four in a group, and the group is what grants them visibility into that one schedule item. Master Tour parity, done the ATOM way: a group is just a set of people, independent of who's officially on the roster.

HOW IT CONNECTS TO SCHEDULE VISIBILITY:

Group membership is the input to Day Sheet visibility: a schedule item scoped to a group is visible to that group's members. An item with no groups is visible to everyone who can see the sheet. Groups only narrow, they never hide by default.

PERMISSIONS:

Admins and workspace managers create and edit groups. Crew can see the groups but not change them.
