Tonight's City lists what's near tonight's venue, on the day page's Overview.
LOOK: it starts as a banner with the town's ATOM Skyline and its name; tap the banner to open it (and again to close it). Each place shows its distance, a walking time when it's under 1.5 miles (at an easy pace), its rating, and whether it's open. Tap a place for directions.
TABS: Wellness (gyms, yoga, massage, physical therapy), Food, Coffee, Grocery, Pharmacy, Parking, Airport, and Dispensaries where they're legal. Type anything into Search nearby (vegan, laundromat, guitar shop).
HOW IT PICKS:
- Each tab drops places that are really something else. Google tags a hotel with a spa as a spa, and a market with a gym inside as a gym, so a hotel never shows under Wellness, an animal hospital never shows under Pharmacy, a motorcycle shop never shows under Parking.
- Places are ranked by how good they are AND how close they are, so a great gym two blocks away beats a famous one across town.
- Airport looks up to 30 miles out and shows real airports first (the busiest one on top), not heliports, control towers, private strips or limo companies.
