The Venue tab is the day's venue brief: everything about tonight's room on one screen, most important first.
WHERE IT LIVES:
Day page, Venue tab (show and festival days).
TOP TO BOTTOM:
- Header: a photo of the venue. ATOM first looks for a free-license photo on Wikimedia (the photo library behind Wikipedia), matched to the venue's real map location so it's the right building; ATOM checks it first (no people in it, nothing explicit; a photo that fails is never used), then keeps that photo and shows it to every tour that plays the room, with the photographer and license credited (tap the credit to see the source). If there's no free photo, it shows a photo the venue itself posted on Google. It never uses a stranger's snapshot from Google (those can be a car in the parking lot); with no free photo and none from the venue, the header shows the city skyline until someone adds a photo. Linked to the wrong place: when the show's Google link points at a different building than the address on the day (for example a Dallas auto shop instead of the Longhorn Ballroom), an amber note under the address names the linked place. Fix opens Edit so you can pick the venue again from search (anyone who can edit the day); That's right hides the note on that device. The Google Maps button, the venue photo and the Route map pin all use that link. Google's photo only shows when ATOM knows where the place is: the venue was picked from search, or Google's match is in the day's own city. A typed name with no city or address gets no photo rather than a stranger's building; pick the venue from search, add the city, or use Add venue photo. Anyone who can edit the day can tap Change photo (or Add venue photo when there's none) to use their own shot of the room, like the load-in door. ATOM checks it first: no people in it, nothing explicit. It becomes the photo every ATOM tour sees at that venue, and Undo right after puts the previous one back. Wrong photo? Tap the eye button in the photo's corner (labelled Hide on a phone) to hide it for every ATOM tour, Google's photo included; Undo right after brings it back, and Add venue photo still works afterward. Photos for the tour's shows are filled in quietly when the tour calendar opens (the nearest dates first, about 40 venues each visit, so a long tour fills in over a few visits), so they're usually already there when you open the day. A phone shows no photo: the town's ATOM skyline sits across the top instead, and photos are only filled in on a computer or the Mac app. The rest of the header: venue name (click it to rename), city, type, capacity, billing and age, the address, a Google Maps link, Call venue when there's a venue phone, and Website (the venue's own site: the advance checklist's Venue website answer if there is one, otherwise the venue's Google listing).
- Rate this venue: from the show day on, a quiet line under the header reads Played here? Rate this venue for other crew. Tap it to rate the room on its own page in Community (stars, optional sub-ratings, an optional note, photos; stars alone are enough). Your role shows, your name doesn't. Photos show the room only: ATOM checks every photo before it's attached and refuses any with a person in it (a face, or someone from behind or far away) or anything explicit or violent, and deletes it. If the check can't run, the photo isn't added; try again later. Back to your day brings you right back here. Once you've rated it, the line shows your stars and Edit. It never shows before the show day, for a private or placeholder venue, or if you hid Community.
- Day Timeline: every timed item on the day's schedule on one line, in order, with after-midnight items marked +1. Doors and the artist's set are bold. On today's date the next item lights up teal. Change times on the Schedule tab.
LIVE TIMES FOLLOW THE VENUE'S CLOCK: the timeline, the Schedule's NOW (something happening right now) and NEXT (the next item, in a gap between items) tags, and the countdown chips all use the local time at the venue, not your phone's zone. So a manager at home in another time zone sees the same NOW as the crew in the room.
- Show Info: billing, capacity, age, venue type, curfew (read from a Curfew row on the schedule) and venue phone.
- Amenities (laundry, showers, towels) next to Wi-Fi (network, password, how fast it is, cell signal, notes, and what the last visit said).
- Dressing Rooms (one room per line; a pasted paragraph is split into lines for you) next to Catering & Runner (meals or buyout, and the runner, pulled from a contact whose role is Runner).
- Merch (venue split, soft, CD/vinyl, who sells, and the merch contact from a contact whose role mentions merch, plus the booth count) next to Venue Hookups (shore power and water for the bus).
- Local Contacts: a phone book, the same one as the Overview's People card. One closed line per venue saying how many contacts it holds; tap it to open the list A to Z, each person with role, phone and email (plus any protocol or notes) and call, text and email buttons. Contacts saved under another company, like the promoter, get their own book. Edit (or Add Contact) still opens every contact's fields. Save to Contacts: the person-plus button beside a contact saves them into your Contacts book (name, role, phone, email, company, notes), on any day, past days too; Save all N to Contacts under a list saves everyone not there yet. Someone already in Contacts shows a green check instead; tap it to open their card. Shown to people who can edit Contacts. The Overview's People card has the same buttons.
- Parking Map and From the Road (notes other ATOM tours left about this room; dashed edge because it's crew intel, not official venue data).
- Below that: the tech pack, what changed in a newer pack, and Check a new advance.
EDITING:
Tap Edit on any section (or Edit at the top of the day) to open every section's fields in place, then Save. Merch and Venue Hookups have their own Save buttons. Sections with nothing in them yet collapse into one Still to fill line; tap an item there to start filling it in.
WHO SEES WHAT:
Anyone who can see the day sees the brief. Only people who can edit the day see Edit and Still to fill. Merch shows only to people allowed to see merch.
