Smart Match (the sparkle button on Browse) is the AI-ranked search for crew. Tap it, type what you need, ATOM returns a ranked shortlist with the reason for each pick.
HOW TO USE IT:
Describe the search in plain English. Examples:
- "Need a TM and a Production Manager for May 14–22, country tour, fly-able"
- "Looking for a fill-in FOH for one show in Nashville next week"
- "Friends only: drummer + bassist for a 3-night theater run"
Keyboard shortcut: ⌘+Enter to search.
HOW IT RANKS:
1. Role match: does what they offer fit what you need?
2. Friend connections: surfaced when present.
3. Online + active recently: are they on the road right now?
4. Available dates: covered the dates you mentioned?
5. Location: local pickups vs fly-dates, when you specify a region.
Each shortlist entry shows a one-sentence reason: "3 country tours, friend-of-friend with 2 of your crew, online now, available May 14–22", so you know why they ranked.
ONE-TAP ACTIONS:
Friends get a DM button. Everyone gets a View button to see their profile. Click anywhere on the card to open their profile.
WHAT IT DOES NOT DO:
Smart Match ranks the crew already loaded in your current view. The month you have open + any role filter. If your view is too narrow, widen the dates or clear the role filter at the top of the page first. ATOM doesn't search outside what you've loaded.
ABOUT THE PROMPT:
Be specific. "Need a TM" gets you TMs; "Need a TM for a country tour" gets you TMs who've worked country; "Need a TM for a 6-week European tour with a flexible per-diem schedule" gets you TMs whose notes or roles mention international experience.
Vague prompts return conservative shortlists. Smart Match drops candidates with low scores rather than padding the list.
WHAT'S COMING:
Find me a fill-in (auto-suggest replacements when you mark a day Busy on a paid tour). Auto-broadcast (opt-in pings to crew you've worked with). Friend-of-friend graph traversal. Tour-credit-aware ranking when resumes get richer.
