Rail bookings

Booking a train leg: provider, manual entry, and the rail details fields

Rail is a first-class booking type on Travel: flight, hotel, private jet, rail, and ground each get their own fields, icon, and money math.

BOOKING A RAIL LEG BY HAND:

Open a client → Add booking → set Type to Rail. The Rail details block asks for operator (Eurostar, Amtrak, national rail..), class, from/to station, and depart/arrive times. Same shape as the Flight block, just station-to-station instead of airport-to-airport.

BOOKING THROUGH A PROVIDER:

Booking rail through a provider (Trainline) is built but not switched on yet: ATOM only turns a booking company on once it has been proven with a real key. Until then, enter rail by hand or drop the confirmation; nothing else in the module needs the live connection.

WHY THIS MATTERS FOR THE MONEY:

Before this shipped, a rail leg had nowhere to go but "Ground", which meant its commission and coordination fee were real, but its spend silently blended into the Ground line on every client budget report and export. Rail now has its own default fee (5% commission + a flat coordination fee, editable per booking like any other type) and its own column on the Commissions budget PDF/CSV, so a client's real rail spend shows up as rail, not ground.

DROP A CONFIRMATION / GMAIL SCAN:

Both ingestion paths (paste a PDF, or scan a connected Gmail inbox) now classify a train ticket as its own type instead of folding it into ground: look for Eurostar, Amtrak, or Trainline confirmations to import automatically.
