Venue Settlement Sharing is how a venue account sees real deal money for a show it hosted, and why that's not automatically off-limits.
THE CORRECTION THIS WAS BUILT ON: the first instinct was that a venue should never see settlement numbers. "that's the artist's private business." That's wrong whenever the venue IS the promoter/buyer, which is common for independent artists playing clubs and theaters: the venue is a real party to the deal, not a third party being let in. ATOM doesn't try to auto-detect "is this venue really the promoter": the tour manager just decides, per show, whether to share.
HOW IT WORKS: from the tour side, a TM shares one specific show's settlement to the venue that hosted it. That creates a scoped grant tied to exactly that showId. Never the whole tour, never other dates. The venue never requests access; the TM pushes it.
WHAT THE VENUE SEES: on /venue/settlements, the real numbers. Deal type, guarantee, gross box office, expenses, adjusted gross, artist total, reconciled/draft status. Same figures the TM sees, not a simplified copy.
THE SAFETY PROPERTY: the read is driven entirely by the server-loaded grant's own showId. A client can never substitute a different show than the one the grant names, even by mistake or by tampering with the request. Sharing one night never exposes any other night.
REVOKING: the TM can revoke a share at any time; a revoked grant stops the venue from seeing that show again.
STATUS (2026-09): built and code-verified line by line against the actual gate logic, not yet merged to main.
