Asset Manager is the tour-wide inventory: every truck, case, instrument, and piece of gear under your custody, and where each one lives.
THREE LEVELS: by KIND, not position:
- Spaces = what gear rides in: trucks, trailers, vans, storage units, rooms. A Space is the destination.
- Containers = cases, racks, boxes, carts that hold gear (a Pelican, a road case, an Ultra Case).
- Items = the actual gear: a guitar, a mic, a pedalboard.
A container is a container whether it's loaded in a truck or sitting on its own. Items live in a container, loose in a Space, or Unassigned, not in a vehicle yet.
BULK IMPORT:
Drop a gear list, carnet, or invoice (CSV / XLSX). ATOM reads the sheet's layout with AI, then a parser nests every row (cases become Containers, their contents become Items), and you review the grid before importing. Re-imports match on serial; you pick Skip / Update / Create per row.
LIST VIEW:
Three tabs: Spaces / Containers / Items. Each with counts. Click a Container to see what's inside. Multi-select with the checkboxes or ⌘/Shift-click, then drag the whole set into another truck. Eject pulls a case out of a truck, or an item out of a case, to Unassigned (it's moved, not deleted). "Delete all assets" on the Overview clears the tour for a fresh import.
THE PACK MAPS (2D + 3D):
Open a Space and switch to Map (top-down floor plan, to scale) or 3D (the load stacked in the truck). Drag cases to plan the load-in; they snap edge-to-edge and sit flush to the walls. Measurement tools show live distance to the walls, floor, and ceiling as you drag. Hover a case for its full name.
SEARCH (⌘K):
Fire-and-forget global search. The result jumps to the asset, opens its detail panel, and spotlights where it lives.
FOR INTERNATIONAL TOURS:
Mark a Space as a Carnet and ATOM offers a Carnet walkthrough: what a carnet is, the General List, HS-code lookup, border procedures. Each item tracks serial, country of origin, declared value, and custody.
COMING NEXT:
Stacking cases three-plus deep with crush protection (fragile cases won't take weight on top), and name labels printed right on the case.
TIES INTO:
Parking Map (where the truck parks), Stage Plot, and Tour Chat.
