Community Home. On a wide computer screen Home has three columns. Left, you: your photo, name and status line (show day, on the road, or home with your next show), your Connections, Tours and Shows played, your current tour with its progress, your Road Circle, and links to Friends, Messages, Jobs, Hangs and Journal. Center, the feed. Right, what's around: today's card, your next shows, crew in your city, Name That Tune, the theme of the day and the pet of the week. A narrower screen drops the right column under the left one; a phone is one column.
FEED TABS above the feed: All (everyone), My People (your friends), My Tours (anyone you've been on a tour roster with) and Nearby (posts pinned in the city you're in today, plus friends who share their map spot there). Nearby uses today's show city, or the city on your profile on a home day. Your pick is remembered on that device.
THE PHONE BAR has five buttons: Home (the feed), Road (map, Intel, venues and tips, with today's city on top), Post (the round button: post to your feed, post in a channel, ask the community, host a meet-up, add a place to Intel, start a chat or post a hire), People (friends, messages, channels, hangs, discover) and Me (your profile, jobs, resume, journal, gear, games and help).
SHARE A CARD: Post to Home on an Intel place or a gear listing, or Post to feed on an open hire, puts it in the feed as a card that opens the real thing. ATOM builds the card from the record itself, so only open hires, gear still for sale or rent, and visible Intel places can be shared, and prices show to the cent.
THE TOP CARD follows your tour: TONIGHT on a show day; on the road it names the real day (Travel day, Day off, Rehearsal...); HOME TODAY with your next show when the day is typed home; YOUR WORK (gigs that fit your open dates) when you are off tour.
TAG A FRIEND: type @ while writing a post and pick a friend, or tap Tag a friend. Only friends can be tagged, and each one gets a notification. Their name becomes a link to their profile.
PROFILES open with a cover, photo, status line and Connect / Message, then tabs for Posts, Photos, About, Road and Crew. Friend counts are never shown to other people. Choose the order of your profile's sections in Edit profile > Section order (up and down arrows, then Save). On someone else's profile, In common shows tours you were both on (from your own tour rosters) and mutual crew (friends of both of you). Instead people earn badges: Verified crew (on an ATOM tour roster with other people), Road Scout (5 or more of your Intel reports that other crew later marked still true), Top Poster (most replies from others in a channel this month, at least 3) and Founding Member (joined ATOM in 2026). Nobody applies; ATOM checks the records. Verified crew and Top Poster also show as small icons next to names in channels.
RETRO MODE: the cassette button next to search turns on the purple retro look. Tap it again to turn it off.
NAME THAT TUNE (Discover, Me, or the Home right column): 10 songs, 3 lives. A wrong pick or running out of time costs a life. Get 7 right to win. First pick a station: Mix, Today's charts (Pop, Country, Rock, Hip-Hop, R&B, Alternative, Dance, from Apple's live top songs), Throwbacks (70s, 80s, 90s, 2000s) or Roots (bluegrass, Americana, folk). No artist comes twice in a game and songs you heard lately are skipped.
ATOM TRIVIA (Me, or the Home right column): six wedges (Geography, Music, Arts & Entertainment, History, Science & Nature, Sports & Leisure). Pick a wedge you still need and answer in 20 seconds. Right wins the wedge; wrong or out of time costs one of 3 lives. Win all six, then get the hard final question to be Champion. Play solo, Challenge my tour (everyone with an ATOM login on that tour gets an alert and the same questions) or Challenge friends. Challenges keep a scoreboard: Champion first, then most wedges, lives left, then the faster time. The questions are written and checked by people (the Open Trivia Database), not made up by AI. If one is wrong or out of date, tap Flag question.
