AI Assist (Ask ATOM) is the same Yo, ATOM you use everywhere else in the app. Open it from the Sparkles button in the header (or Yo, ATOM in the mobile menu) and ask for a stage plot in plain English.
ONE ASSISTANT, NOT A SEPARATE STAGE PLOT CHAT:
There used to be a page-locked mode: on Stage Plot the chat only did stage plots, and anywhere else it refused to touch one. That is gone. Standing on the Stage Plot page you can still ask what time load-in is, and the stage plot is a normal thing ATOM can build.
One thing does depend on the page: the canvas lives in your browser, so ATOM can only change a plot while Production → Stage Plot is actually open. Ask from anywhere else and it will say so and offer to take you there.
WHAT IT CAN BUILD:
- Stage layout: items placed at sensible positions for your stage size.
- Input list: real numbered channels, with the curated mic, mount and 48V filled in exactly as if you had typed the channel name yourself.
- Monitor sends: a channel routed into mixes you have already created (it will not invent a mix that does not exist).
EXAMPLES:
- "Set up a 5-piece bluegrass band with wedges" → fiddle, banjo, mando, bass, vox + 5 wedges placed proportionally.
- "Build me a 24-channel input list for a 5-piece with two guitars" → channels in standard rider order, drums first.
- "Add three more channels for the horn section" → continues the numbering instead of restarting at 1.
- "Redo the input list" → rebuilds it from scratch (the card says so before you tap Apply).
- "Move the bass amp to SR" → finds the bass amp by label, slides it stage-right.
- "Clear the stage" → wipes the items (asks first via the Apply card).
CHANNELS DO NOT LIVE ON STAGE ITEMS:
A stage item is visual only. Channel numbers and mixes belong to the input list, which is why "build the plot" and "build the input list" are two different asks and you can do either on its own.
HOW THE PROPOSAL FLOW WORKS:
ATOM responds with a teal Apply card summarizing exactly what it will do. Nothing changes until you tap "Apply". If the positions feel off, drag the items after they land, or say "move X to Y" and ask again.
NOT SHIPPED YET:
Reading a rider PDF or a photo of one and parsing the channel list out of it (SP-7).
