How ATOM Travel counts your money

Commission, markup, fees, canceled bookings, base currency and client invoices

How ATOM Travel counts your money.

EARNINGS ON A BOOKING: commission (a % of the cost, paid by the supplier), markup (a % on top, follows the cost if it changes), a flat service fee, plus a coordination fee. Rates can have decimals (12.5%).

CANCELED BOOKINGS: count as nothing: no spend, no commission. A coordination fee you already billed (invoiced or collected) stays, because that work was done.

BASE CURRENCY: set in your agency settings (USD, EUR, GBP, CAD or AUD). Every total rolls up into it. Each booking can be in any of those five; pick it in the booking editor.

CLIENT INVOICES (Clients > Invoice) bill what the CLIENT owes you: coordination fees, service fees and markup. Commission is not on it, because the supplier pays that. Each booking goes on one invoice only; the next invoice picks up only what's new. If there's nothing new, no invoice is made.

RECONCILING A STATEMENT (Commissions > Reconcile a statement): drop a supplier's CSV. Lines are matched by confirmation number. Paid in full: you can mark them collected, and the amount paid is kept. Paid less, or nothing: shown as short, not collected. A negative line is shown as taken back. Two bookings with the same confirmation are told apart by amount; if the amount fits neither, ATOM doesn't guess.

HOTEL BLOCKS: enter the block cutoff and the share you must pick up in the hotel booking. The at-risk list then warns you before the cutoff, with what you'd owe: rooms x rate x nights x the share you'd fall short.

HOTEL BLOCK REQUESTS (Hotels > Request a block) keep track of a block you're asking hotels for. Email it to hotel sales from your own email, add each hotel's bid as it comes in, and award one: that makes the hotel booking from the bid, with the confirmation number left for you to fill in.
