Booking through a provider (Travel > Book travel, and Connections).
ONLY DUFFEL IS SWITCHED ON. ATOM has connections built for Amadeus, Sabre, Travelport, Hotelbeds, Expedia, Avinode, Blacklane and Trainline too, but a booking company is only switched on once it has been proven end to end with a real key. Until then they show as Coming later. Duffel books flights and hotels, needs no airline accreditation, and its test keys are free.
TEST OR LIVE IS DECIDED BY THE KEY. A Duffel test key starts with duffel_test_. Anything else is a live key and books real tickets, whatever was picked when it was saved. The Book screen shows TEST or LIVE.
A LIVE BOOKING ASKS FIRST. It spends your agency's pre-funded Duffel balance, so ATOM shows the exact amount and asks you to confirm. Only the agency owner can make a live booking. If the price changed since you confirmed, nothing is bought and ATOM shows the new price.
SEARCHING FLIGHTS: type a city or airport in From and To (Nashville, London, BNA) and pick from the list, or type the 3-letter code. Results come back cheapest first with the fare name (Basic, Main), and ATOM gives every airline up to 30 seconds to answer, so slower airlines are not cut off. Hotels: the City box suggests cities and airports the same way.
ROUND TRIPS: pick Round trip, add the return date, and each result shows the way out and the way back. Booked, it lands as two flights on their own days (Outbound and Return) sharing one confirmation, each with airline, flight number, airports and times, so it reaches the tour complete. The price sits on the outbound flight, so totals count it once.
FILLING PASSENGERS: on each traveler, Fill from crew picks someone on this client. ATOM fills the legal name, date of birth and gender from their travel documents if you have document access, otherwise the name and email, and tells you what is still missing.
WHO CAN CONNECT: only the agency owner adds or removes booking connections. Teammates see what's connected.
NO KEY? Scan your email or drop a confirmation under Trips and ATOM logs it.
